The Retina Clinic -1 is run every Monday & Saturday and Retina Clinic-2 every Monday and Thursday in Room No. 104, 107 & 108. The clinic handles patients with all types of vitroretinal diseases including diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, age related macular degeneration, vascular occlusion, uveitis, Eales disease, central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR), macular hole, epiretinal membrane (ERM), proliferative vitreoretinopathy (PVR), intraocular foreign body (IOFB), retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), posterior segment complications of cataract surgery & endophthalmitis.
The clinic is well supported by state of the art equipment which includes digital fundus camera and flouroscein angiography systems, small pupil fundus camera, Fourier domain OCT, USG B scan & posterior segment lasers (Frequency doubled Nd-Yag laser & Diode laser).
Apart from scleral buckling, vitreo retinal surgeries are being done for retinal detachment, vitreous haemorrhage, diabetic retinopathy, macular hole, ERM, IOFB, proliferative vitreoretinopathy.
Wide angle viewing systems, endolaser, small gauge vitrectomy & meticulous surgery ensure a high success rate for the surgical procedures performed.
